Why Use SMS?

SMS is a direct and reliable way to engage customers, enabling faster communication and improved customer satisfaction. With Distance, SMS setup is included in your subscription at no extra cost.

Steps to Set Up SMS:

1. Go to Connect Channels and click Apply for a Business Phone Number.

2. Follow the setup wizard and provide the following details:

   • Legally registered business name (not a brand name or DBA).

   • Business address and website for verification.

   • Full legal name of an authorized individual associated with your company. (Avoid using job titles like "President" or "Owner" as this may cause verification delays.)

   • Confirm and submit your details for review.

⚠️ Important:

• Only legally registered businesses are eligible for SMS setup.

• Ensure all details match your official business registration to avoid delays.

Note: Business phone numbers are only available for registered businesses. The verification process may take a few days, and additional documentation may be required to complete the setup. Once confirmed, your business phone number will be ready for SMS messaging and call forwarding.
