Setting up integration with Albi

Integrate Distance with Albi to automatically push contacts and service request data, streamlining sales and operational workflows in Albi.

This integration allows customer and service request information created in Distance to be sent directly to Albi without manual entry. Data flows one-way from Distance to Albi, so updates in Distance overwrite corresponding records in Albi, while changes made in Albi do not sync back. Certain fields, such as Status and Priority, are not synced.

Prerequisites

  • A Distance account.

  • An active Albi (Albiware.com) account with administrative access to configure the integration and provide API credentials.

Limitations

  • One-way integration: data flows from Distance to Albi only.

  • Updates made in Albi do not sync back to Distance.

Notes

  • The integration setup requires a configuration appointment with a Distance integration specialist.

  • Ensure all Albi API credentials are available before the session.

How to set up the integration

  1. Schedule a configuration appointment - The Albi integration requires API access and data mapping. Book a 30-minute session with the Distance Integrations Team to set up the integration.

  2. Provide API credentials and mapping information - During the session, supply the necessary Albi API credentials and review how contacts and service requests in Distance will map to Albi.

  3. Activate the integration - The Distance integration specialist will complete the configuration, enabling automatic data sync from Distance to Albi.

How the integration works

Once setup is complete, Distance automatically syncs data to Albi:

  • Contact synchronization - New customers or contacts created in Distance are pushed to Albi as Contacts (found under Relationships → Contacts).

  • Service request and ticket synchronization - New service requests or tickets created in Distance are pushed to Albi as tasks.

This ensures service activity captured in Distance is visible to your team in Albi without manual entry.

Next steps

After your configuration appointment:

  1. Create a test contact in Distance

  2. Create a test service request or ticket

  3. Confirm both appear in Albi within a few minutes

If records do not appear or data looks incorrect, contact Distance support for assistance.

Once the integration is active, your team can rely on automatic syncing of contacts and service requests from Distance to Albi, reducing manual data entry, keeping records accurate, and enabling your team to focus on active customer interactions and service delivery.
