Account tab

The Account tab lets you manage your personal profile details and control how you receive ticket notifications.

The Account tab contains settings specific to you as a user in Distance. From here, you can update your personal information and configure how and when you are notified about ticket activity. These settings help ensure your profile stays accurate across the platform while keeping notifications focused on the updates that matter most to your role.

Profile

The Profile section stores your personal details used throughout Distance, including your name and contact information. These details appear across the platform and are used for identification, assignment visibility, and notifications.

From this section, you can update:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

Keeping your profile information up to date ensures accurate assignment, communication, and notification delivery.

Ticket notifications

Ticket notifications are disabled by default and can be enabled and customized based on your preferences. These settings allow you to control which ticket updates trigger alerts, helping you stay informed without unnecessary interruptions.

You can configure notifications based on the following criteria:

  • Priority - Choose which ticket priority levels trigger notifications: Low, Medium, High, or Urgent.

Ticket priority is automatically determined by AI based on the conversation context.

  • Events - Select which ticket events you want to be notified about, such as when a ticket is created, assigned, updated, or closed.

  • Types - Filter notifications by ticket type, including Service Requests, Customer Support, or Other.

  • Notify me by - Choose how you want to receive notifications. Available options include Email, SMS, and Call. You can enable one or multiple methods depending on how you prefer to be alerted.

By fine-tuning these options, you can ensure you receive timely updates for critical tickets while avoiding notification overload from lower-priority activity.
