Managing conversations with bulk actions

Bulk actions let you quickly assign, move, or mark multiple conversations at once, improving efficiency and workflow management in the Inbox.

When handling multiple conversations at once, bulk actions make it faster to organize, assign, and flag messages. Selecting one or more conversations in the Inbox activates action buttons at the top, letting your team update multiple messages efficiently without opening each conversation individually. This streamlines workflow, reduces oversight, and ensures important messages are handled consistently.

Filtering conversations

Above the conversation list, you can use the Filter tabs to switch between All or Unread messages, helping your team focus on active conversations that require attention.

The Channel dropdown lets you filter messages by SMS, Social, or Web chat, so you can quickly narrow results to a specific source.

Selecting conversations

Each conversation in the list has a checkbox on the left. Ticking one or more checkboxes activates the bulk action toolbar at the top of the Inbox. This toolbar only appears when conversations are selected, keeping the interface clean and focused.

Available bulk actions

Once conversations are selected, the following actions become available:

  • Select all (-) button - Marks/Unmarks all conversations at once, so you can quickly apply a state change or clear selections.

  • Assignee - Assign selected conversations to one or more team members, making responsibilities clear and ensuring messages are followed up.

  • Move to - Relocate selected conversations to Spam, Archive, or any custom folder. You can also create a new folder directly from this menu. This organizes conversations without deleting them.

  • Mark as Unread - Flag selected conversations for follow-up, keeping them visible in the Unread filter until addressed.

These tools help your team efficiently triage incoming messages, maintain organization, and respond promptly across multiple conversations.
